Hearing God’s Heart: Living the Prophetic Life

The prophet Joel foresaw a day when all God’s people—young and old—would dream dreams, see visions, and speak from the heart of God (Joel 2:28). That day came with Jesus’ victory at the Cross and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Acts 2). We’re living in that time now.

This prophetic training is an invitation to every believer to grow in hearing God’s voice and sharing it with love, grace, and wisdom. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to be refreshed and sharpened, come and be encouraged. We’ll explore what it means to live under an open heaven, in close relationship with God, and to speak life that builds others up and helps establish His Kingdom here in Aotearoa.

Together, we’ll also consider the role and function of prophecy and prophets today, not just within the church, but in the everyday marketplace of life where God is also speaking and moving.

As Paul reminds us, “you can all prophesy” (1 Corinthians 14:31), and we’re urged to “eagerly desire the gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy” (1 Corinthians 14:1). Let’s lean into that call together.
